Shadow Foreign Minister David Lidington and Amnesty International address party conference fringe meeting

The Conservative Party Human Rights Commission held a fringe meeting at the Party Conference in Manchester on Monday 5 October 2009, addressed by the Director of Amnesty International UK, Kate Allen, and the Shadow Foreign Office Minister David Lidington MP.

In her remarks, Kate Allen set out the major international human rights challenges which will face the next British Government. David Lidington responded by reiterating the Party’s commitment to place human rights at the centre of its foreign policy.
